Yahaya Ibrahim, a rising star from Kwara United, has earned a well-deserved spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Team of the Week compiled by Sportslight.
The talented right-back delivered a Player of the Match performance in Kwara United’s hard-fought 1-1 draw against Rangers International FC, cementing his place among the standout players of the week.
Ibrahim, a product of Blessed Stars Football Academy, Uyo, joined Kwara United during the last transfer window. Since making his debut in Week 2 of the 2024/2025 NPFL season, the youngster has become a consistent starter at right-back, earning praise for his solid defensive displays and composure on the ball.
With each passing game, Yahaya has grown in stature, showcasing not just defensive prowess but also the ability to contribute to Kwara United’s attack. His seamless adaptation to life in the top flight highlights the academy’s impact on his development, with Blessed Stars continuing to produce high-calibre talents.
Earning a spot in the NPFL Team of the Week is a testament to Ibrahim’s hard work and dedication, as he continues to make waves in the league. The young full-back will look to build on this momentum as Kwara United pushes for a strong campaign in the 2024/2025 NPFL season.
