After nearly a decade together, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley have decided to go their separate ways.

In a joint statement on social media posted on May 9, the couple revealed that the challenges they faced over the years have led them to prioritize their two children and reevaluate their relationship.

“Despite the speculation about our marriage, we have had our struggles and continue to navigate them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children,” they shared. “To protect our deep friendship and maintain harmony for our children, we’ve decided to take time apart and reassess.” They also asked for continued support during this challenging period and reiterated their commitment to focusing on their children.

Fans were quick to call out the couple on their joint post. “‘How are you and PK?’ ‘Better than ever.’ Dorit at the reunion, and everybody else smiled at that. Well…” pointed out one user. “Dude was clearly in no rush to come back from London….I’m just saying. Dorit played along for a long time,” commented another, pointing out the reality star’s obliviousness.

The couple’s marital difficulties were addressed in the latest RHOBH season, which aired last fall. Dorit, 47, explained in the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast last November, “PK and I are very connected and co-dependent. This was the first time in our 13 years together that we felt this disconnect.”

The couple met rumors head-on, clarifying they were not living separately and remained dedicated to each other. Dorit noted that being open about their issues prevented gossip from spiraling further.

Following their string of legal troubles—including PK’s accusation of owing $75,000 in gambling debt to a sports betting company in February 2019, a suit that was dismissed two months later—the challenges in their marriage only grew worse.

In October 2021, the swimsuit designer was robbed at gunpoint at her home while PK, 56, was in England. “I’ve been through a terrifying ordeal, one that no parent or person should ever have to experience,” Dorit shared on Instagram days later. “I thank God for keeping my kids and myself from being physically harmed.”

The couple remained in the headlines a few months later in December 2021 when PK was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
