What did Finidi George say after Rivers United beat Niger Tornadoes on the road?
Rivers United Technical Manager, Finidi George, has praised his players after their hard-fought 1-0 away victory against Niger Tornadoes.
The win, secured by Seiyefa Jackson’s 47th-minute goal, extended the team’s unbeaten streak to eight matches.
In his post-match comments, George commended the team’s effort and resilience.
“It was a difficult game. We knew from the start it would be tough, but the players gave it their all. I must commend them for their efforts,” George said.
He also highlighted the importance of his goalkeeper’s late save, which prevented Niger Tornadoes from equalising.
“It was a well-deserved victory, and my goalkeeper made a brilliant save at the end that kept us in the game,” he added.
Rivers United remain top of the standings, maintaining their impressive form in the league.
