Watford vs Arsenal (2-3) Mar 6, 2022 Match Preview and Stats
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be desperate to turn his side’s winning streak into four games on Sunday, when they travel to Watford.
The hosts have the worst home record in the Premier League this season but Arsenal will undoubtedly have to be at their best if they want to add points to the board and continue their race for a top four finish.
Luckily for Arteta, Arsenal’s squad looks in relatively good shape and only a handful of minor injuries should cause the Spanish manager any problems.
For example, in defence the North London club should be able to stick with a relatively straight-forward back line, with Cedric Soares continuing to step in at right back for the injured Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Arteta should face few issues in midfield too, where the only notable injury comes in the form of Emile Smith Rowe being a doubt for the clash. As such, a midfield duo of Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are likely to take to the field on Sunday, with Martin Odegaard in front.
With Smith Rowe out, that also means that Gabriel Martinelli is likely to start on the left wing for Arsenal, with Bukayo Saka on the right flank and Alexandre Lacazette playing up front as the team’s No.9.
