Victor Boniface celebrates Osimhen’s heroics for Galatasaray vs Tottenham
In an electrifying display in the Europa League, Victor Osimhen once again showcased his attacking ability, leading Galatasaray to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Following the match, fellow Nigerian and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface reached out to celebrate Osimhen’s standout performance.
Osimhen, who had been seeking his first European goals for Galatasaray, netted two crucial goals within an eight-minute span during the first half, which ultimately helped secure the win.
His first strike demonstrated his exceptional finishing ability, while the second illustrated his calm demeanor under pressure.
After the game, Boniface took to social media to acknowledge Osimhen’s contributions, commenting on a post shared by Osimhen without a caption, simply stating, “Highest in the game,” a nod to his exceptional talent.
This moment of recognition came in the wake of Osimhen turning the tide for Galatasaray, after having struggled to find the back of the net in his initial European outings this season.
His success not only reaffirms his role as a key player for the Turkish side but also highlights the respect and support he receives from fellow teammates like Boniface.
The duo will soon reunite, as they prepare for their upcoming commitments with the Super Eagles. Coach Augustine Eguavoen has announced a 22-man squad for crucial AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda, with Osimhen returning to the side after his sensational form at the club level.
