Edwards (-270) vs. Muhammad (+220) Best Bet

All eyes will be on the welterweight title bout between two of the hottest fighters in UFC.

Edwards (22-3-1), who grew up in Birmingham, England, enters UFC 304 on a 13-match unbeaten streak, with 12 victories and a no-contest against none other than Muhammad back in March 2021. In that meeting, the fight was stopped during the second round after Muhammad was unable to continue following an inadvertent eye poke.

Muhammad (23-3-1) is also on a lengthy unbeaten streak, with nine wins and the no-contest ruling against Edwards in his last 10 fights. Muhammad’s last loss came against Geoff Neal back in 2019.

Edwards has held the welterweight title since taking it from Kamaru Usman back in August 2022. He has successfully defended it twice, vs. Usman in March 2023 (UFC 286) and against Colby Covington at UFC 296 last December.

The 32-year-old Edwards and the 36-year-old Muhammad both have a tendency to go the distance and win via decision as opposed to TKO or submission, which makes Edwards to win by decision (+100) the best play in a match in which the champ understandably enters as the clear favorite.

Best bet: Leon Edwards to Win by Decision (+100 at DK)

Aspinall (-395) vs Blaydes (+310) Best Bet

Like Edwards and Muhammad, Aspinall and Blaydes have previously squared off. Almost exactly two years ago, on July 23, 2022, the heavyweights met London’s O2 Arena, where Aspinall lost by TKO due to a knee injury early in the first round.

Aspinall has recovered in impressive fashion, with wins by first-round TKO over Marcin Tybura (July 22, 2023) and Sergei Pavlovich (November 11, 2023). The latter saw Aspinall deliver a first-round knockout to take the interim heavyweight belt from Pavlovich. Jon Jones remains UFC’s heavyweight champion despite not defending his title since March of 2023, and is expected to fight Stipe Miocic later this year.

What happens with the (non-interim) heavyweight title beyond UFC remains hard to predict, but expect Aspinall vs. Blaydes to be decided quickly. The former has ended the last four matches he won in the first round (three TKOs, one submission), while Blaydes has had his last four decided by KO/TKO. Given their recent history, the question on Saturday night is whether this one will go one or two rounds.

Aspinall’s status as the heavy favorite means that it will take a bold swing to get favorable odds for your bets on this fight. Given the tendency of both Aspinall and Blaydes to finish things quickly, why not take a stab at an early win for Aspinall?

Best bet: Tom Aspinall to Win by KO/TKO/DQ in Round 1 (-110 at DK)
