Travis Kelce Opens up on Final Eras Wish

Travis Kelce wanted to make sure he saw Taylor Swift’s world tour one last time before its final curtain call.

Swift has toured across five continents on her record-breaking Eras tour, which began in March 2023 and is set to wrap on December 8 in Vancouver, Canada.

In September 2023, Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship, and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has been a regular fixture at Eras concerts—attending shows in the U.S., Argentina, Singapore, Australia and several European countries. He even joined her onstage as part of her dance crew at a London show during the summer.

Most recently, the NFL player was spotted at the second night of Swift’s run of three shows in Indianapolis, which marked her final Eras shows in the U.S.

On New Heights—the podcast he co-hosts with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce—the Chiefs player discussed why it was important for him to make sure he was at the concert.

“I wanted to see Tay one more time before this thing got closed up,” Kelce said of his wish to see another Eras show, adding, “I’ll tell you what, man, the American crowds, they did not disappoint.”

When his brother said of the Eras stadium concerts, “It’s a good place to go if you’re looking to have fun. That’s for d**n sure,” Kelce replied, “Aint’ that the truth.”

During his summary of the Eras show in Indianapolis, Kelce referenced Pat McAfee’s review of it.

“That thing was rocking, absolutely rocking. If you don’t believe me, Pat McAfee had one of the greatest tour or show reviews that I’ve ever seen,” Kelce said.

McAfee, a former NFL punter turned sports commentator took to X, formerly Twitter, to confirm that after seeing the show in Indianapolis, he was a converted Swiftie—the name given to Swift’s fans.

“This Taylor Swift concert is f**king insane,” McAfee wrote on the night of the show. “What an absolutely electrifying stadium. 69,000 people.. ALL IN. It’s awesome.”

He later boasted about his experience during his eponymous talk show.

“I did not know that you could have an audience that engaged for three and a half hours,” McAfee said, adding, “Taylor Swift is a monster.”

“It was an experience,” he continued, adding: “You get captivated with everything that’s going on in the show. It was the coolest and most electric environment I have ever been in, in my entire [life].”

While at the show in Indianapolis, Kelce was spotted being followed around by camera crews, leading some to believe he may appear in the rumored documentary Swift is making about her historic tour.
