Transfer expert sugests possible destinations for Victor Osimhen amid transfer speculations
Italian transfer expert Luca Marchetti has hinted at potential destinations for Victor Osimhen this summer, despite the striker signing a new contract with Napoli only a few months ago..
The 25-year-old Nigerian striker has faced challenges replicating the impressive form he displayed last season, with injuries contributing to a decline in his goal-scoring numbers.
Despite this, Osimhen has still managed to contribute to seventeen goals for Napoli in twenty-four appearances across all competitions since joining the defending Italian champions.
Osimhen’s new contract includes a €120 million release clause, sparking interest from several top clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain, all seeking to strengthen their attacking options.
Speaking on Radio Marte’s Spazionapoli, Marchetti discussed the likelihood of Osimhen’s potential suitors based on their financial capabilities.
“If a club is interested in signing Osimhen and knows that Napoli can hardly pay a salary of €10 million, does it offer €110 or €120 million? This is why playing roles or negotiations are important,” Marchetti explained.
“I believe that today Osimhen could be worth around €100 million; few teams can afford him, but these teams might need a striker. I’m talking about Chelsea, PSG, and there could be some other surprise team,” he added.
Osimhen has recently returned to Napoli’s training after recovering from an injury that kept him out of their recent draw against league leaders Inter Milan.
