Edwards is a rising star in the league and is soon set to be a global star. The 22-year-old has an AE-1 shoe line with Adidas that has grown in popularity since April. The deal makes Edwards one of the company’s top faces, and his rise in fame should only increase from here on out. Although Edwards just finished his fourth season in the NBA, he’s already established himself as a superstar in this league and has already taken the Timberwolves to new heights.

This shoe deal is just the beginning, and it didn’t come by no mistake. Before this multi-year deal was announced, Edwards and Adidas announced they would drop the AE-1 Low “Night Indigo” on Aug. 15.

This past season, Edwards led Minnesota to the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, sweeping the Phoneix Suns in the first round and defeating the 2023 NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets, in the second round to advance to the West Conference Finals for the first since 2004. Although Edwards and the Timberwolves fell short to the Dallas Mavericks, make no mistake, the Timberwolves are here to stay, and it’s all thanks to Edwards and his phenomenal play.

The standout guard is currently training with Team USA to prepare for the 2024 Paris Olympic games. This will be Edwards’ first time playing in the Olympics, and he will do his part to lead the United States to the gold for the fifth consecutive time. Luckily, Edwards has all the help in the world, with future Hall of Famers by his side, including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, and Joel Embiid.

Edwards is coming off a career year in 2024, being named to his second NBA All-Star game, making the All-NBA Second Team, and averaging a career-high in points sweet 25.9, assists with 5.1, and 5.4 assists per game with 1.3 steals and shot 46.1 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from three. Edwards also finished seventh in NBA MVP voting and eighth in Clutch Player of the Year.

The Georgia native is seeking his first gold medal of his career on top of the massive deal he came upon.
