Team to Win, Form, News
Sunday’s Premier League game between Bournemouth and Brighton features two sides that don’t have a lot to play before between now and the end of the campaign.
Both teams are solidly midtable, completely free of relegation, while European football is out of reach.
But, the lack of pressure might actually turn this into an entertaining affair!
Current Form
Bournemouth’s current form
Bournemouth’s recent form has been up and down as within their last five games they have won two, lost two and drawn one.
Last time out, they defeated Wolves 1-0 away from home, but in slightly fortuitous circumstances as Wolves had a perfectly good goal disallowed by VAR.
Brighton’s current form
Robert De Zerbi will be a wanted man in the summer, with the likes of Man Utd and Liverpool sniffing around the Brighton boss.
But, any suitors will be concerned by Brighton’s recent form as they haven’t won in five games.
They have lost three of those games, but those losses did come against the Premier League’s big three – Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Ryan Fredericks, Marcus Tavernier, Luis Sinisterra, Romain Favre and Chris Mepham are all definitely out for Bournemouth, while Tyler Adams will be assessed before kick-off due to a lower back issue.
Milos Kerkez is suspended after being sent off against Wolves.
Solly March, Evan Ferguson, Jack Hinshelwood, Pervis Estupinan, Kaoru Mitoma, Tariq Lamptey, James Milner and Billy Gilmour remain absent for Brentford.
Dominic Solanke is enjoying one of the best top-flight seasons of his career and is still in the conversation for the Golden Boot.
With so many of his attacking team-mates injured over the course of the season, Brighton have been reliant on Joao Pedro for consistency.
Scoreline Prediction
With no pressure on either side, this could be an entertaining clash.
