Emergency services have been called to the second chemical spill in two weeks at an industrial estate in North Lanarkshire.
Residents around the Northburn Industrial Estate on Cameron Street, Coatbridge have been urged to keep their windows closed after the incident was reported at about 12:00.
Police said there have been no reported injuries and there is no risk to the wider public.
A chemical leak was reported in the same location last week and four people were treated by paramedics at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “A cordon has been put in place and nearby residents are asked to keep their windows closed while the substance is dealt with.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent four fire engines to the site.
A spokeswoman said: “Operations Control mobilised a number of resources, including specialist hazmat units, to a commercial premise on Cameron Street, Coatbridge, following reports of an incident involving potentially hazardous materials.
“There were no reported casualties, and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
Several streets around the industrial estate were cordoned off after the first leak on Tuesday 5 November and police said local properties were evacuated as a precaution.
Residents were later asked to remain indoors and keep their doors and windows closed.
Cameron Street reopened the next day and officers said inquiries were ongoing.
