Rivers United forward confident of victory over USM Alger in Algeria
As Rivers United gears up for the crucial CAF Confederation Cup quater-final second-leg match against USM Alger, forward Augustine Okejepha has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness to secure victory once again.
Okejepha, who scored the only goal in the first leg played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, says that Rivers United is determined to emerge victorious in the upcoming match.
“We are rearing to go, and on Sunday, we are going to win. Just like the way we did in Nigeria, we will go harder on them, just the way they came, and we are going to get the victory,” he stated.
The Rivers United team has arrived in Algeria ahead of the final leg scheduled for Sunday, April 7, 2024.
Rivers United will attempt to advance in the Confederation Cup after exiting at this stage of the competition last season, following a loss to Yanga SC of Tanzania.
