RFK Jr. Predicts Donald Trump’s Support May Drop After Kamala Harris Debate
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. predicted that former President Donald Trump’s support will drop over the next week following his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Harris was perceived as the winner of the debate, according to early indicators. A CNN flash poll found that 63 percent of debate viewers believed Harris won the debate, compared to 37 percent who believed Trump won. Trump sought to call attention to Harris’ positions on immigration, a Democratic vulnerability, while Harris aimed to get under his skin with remarks about his crowd size, while also highlighting her economic plans.
Kennedy, who recently ended his independent presidential bid and threw his weight behind Trump, addressed Trump’s debate performance during an interview on the Fox News Program “Your World With Neil Cavuto” Wednesday afternoon.
“I would suspect that the polling of the next week is going to show, probably a slight drop in his support, particularly among independents,” he said.

Newsweek reached out to Trump’s campaign for comment via email.
Kennedy told Cavuto that Harris “clearly won the debate in terms of her delivery. Kennedy said he believes Trump wins “on substance” but did not “tell that story” during the debate. He argued that while the Biden administration is to blame for several challenges facing the country, Trump got “distracted” during the debate and struggled to make that argument.
“I think it’s unfortunate because I think he really had an airtight argument for his presidency but was not able to make that case to the American public,” Kennedy said.
Still, Kennedy said he believes Harris would be more “vulnerable” in a long-form interview and declined to change his support from Trump to Harris.
This is a developing news story and will be updated with more information.
