KKR soar to IPL 2024 Final
Mitchell Starc led a fiery bowling attack for Kolkata Knight Riders, taking 3 wickets in the powerplay to dismantle Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batting order. Pat Cummins and the KKR bowlers restricted SRH to a meagre 159 runs despite a fighting half-century from Rahul Tripathi.
In reply, KKR openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine got off to a quick start, scoring 63 runs in the powerplay. After Gurbaz’s dismissal, Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer took over the chase with brilliant fifties. Venkatesh smashed a quickfire 51 off 28 balls, while Shreyas anchored the innings with a captain’s knock of 58 runs off just 24 deliveries. KKR chased down the target with 8 wickets and 4 overs to spare, booking their place in the IPL 2024 final.
