PSG vs Lyon (2-1) Sep 19, 2021 Match Preview and Stats
Paris Saint-Germain had Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar all play together for the first time on Wednesday, but they gave an unconvincing display as they were held to a 1-1 draw against Club Brugge.
Although PSG have a perfect record in Ligue 1 to date, their performances have not necessarily reflected such an achievement. They have often benefitted from the quality of Mbappe in attack to secure three points without necessarily playing well.

On Sunday, they will be given their biggest test yet as they play host to Lyon at Parc des Princes.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino will start with the big three names if possible, though Mbappe went off injured in Brugge in midweek and has been considered a serious doubt since.
However, the latest news suggest that he could be available for the match. Tests have revealed that Mbappe has suffered no broken bones or cracks, though it will be a last-minute call as to whether he plays or not.
Angel Di Maria, who was suspended in midweek, will be the player to come into the squad if he is not ready.
One change is certain in the midfield. It was an area where PSG struggled against the Belgian side and Idrissa Gueye will feature after a ban. Ander Herrera, who has four goals already this season, should continue while Marco Verratti is out. Leandro Paredes’ woeful midweek showing puts his participation at risk, with Georgino Wijnaldum given a stay of execution after a poor start.
In defence, meanwhile, Abdou Diallo could be replaced by Nuno Mendes, who could make his first start. Presnel Kimpembe and Marquinhos should play together, although with three games in a week again, some rotation to bring the in-form Thilo Kehrer back should not be discounted. Sergio Ramos remains injured.
Keylor Navas appears to be first pick in goal ahead of Gianluigi Donnarumma for now.
Probably PSG XI v Lyon
