Police drive through vast wildfire
New video released by Rosebud County Sheriff’s Office shows a sergeant driving through flaming countryside in Montana, on 23 August.
The officer was looking for any campers that may have been caught up in the wildfire, when conditions quickly worsened.
The sheriff’s office said the ongoing fire, known as the Remington Fire, is the largest of the season, blazing over 196,000 acres.
The wildfire originated in Wyoming; however, it spread rapidly due to strong winds and dry conditions.
There have been no reports of serious injuries.
