Partey To Battle Saka, Havertz, Martinelli For Arsenal October Player Of The Month Award
Black Stars of Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has been nominated for the Arsenal October Player of the Month award.
Arsenal announced Partey and three other nominees for the award.
The former Atletico Madrid star will compete for the award alongside Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz.
Commenting on Partey’s impressive performance in the month in review, Arsenal wrote on their website:”Thomas continues to be a huge influence in our midfield, and featured in all six matches during the month as we battled in the league, Europe and League Cup.
“Patrolling the middle of the park, he helped us keep PSG and Shakhtar at bay as we remain water-tight in the Champions League.
“With injuries biting, he has also been excellent filling in at right-back, and against Liverpool, he became the first Gunner to record over 3 fouls won, 5 tackles, 10 duels won and 75 touches in a Premier League match for nearly five years.”
Partey is expected to be in action for the Gunners when they face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
