No Ibrahimovic – How Milan could line-up against Lille
Milan will be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Thursday’s Europa League match against Lille.
The talismanic striker scored two goals as Milan defeated Napoli at the weekend, but unfortunately sustained a hamstring injury which will sideline him for the next few matches.
Rafael Leao is also struggling with a hamstring injury and will likely miss out, which could mean a spot in the centre-forward position for Ante Rebic.
Head coach Stefano Pioli tends to rotate things a bit when Milan play in the Europa League, so expect the likes of Sandro Tonali, Rade Krunic, and Brahim Diaz to be given a start against the French side.
The Serie A leaders aren’t blessed with too many rotation options at the back, though, so expect Gianluigi Donnarumma, Simon Kjaer, Alessio Romagnoli, and Theo Hernandez to retain their places from the win against Napoli.
However, Diogo Dalot could replace Davide Calabria at right-back.
Tonali will come into the middle of midfield alongside Franck Kessie, with Ismael Bennacer making way.
Samu Castillejo, Diaz, and Krunic could be recalled to the starting XI to play in the three behind Rebic.
