No broadcast & no tickets, fans return disappointed with ICC’s apathy
Mega ICC event, but fans remain disappointed! No Tickets and Broadcast for Warmup matches as fans encounter ICC’s apathy
While the warm-up matches have begun in USA, it is not the same for the fans. There are no tickets for them to travel to the stadium and watch the games. Neither is there any broadcast of these games. Fans have been traveling to the venues only to return back disappointed.
The other day, few Nepal fans drove for around a hour and a half to Oklahoma to witness the Nepal vs Canada game. But after reaching the Grand Prairie Stadium, they had to make an U-turn from the gate after being informed that fans were not allowed inside the stadium. In fact there are also no tickets available to witness the game.
Special Privilege to India and Australia?
Only 2 T20 world Cup matches will be live streamed and broadcasted. These include the matches involving West Indies vs Australia and India vs Bangladesh. There is a huge craze regarding the India match as it will be played at the new Nassau County Stadium in New York.
While things remain in a relatively poor state, fans will surely be happy for these two games. As for the rest of the tournament, there is no hype around the tournament, as of now. The ICC T20 World Cup begins on 2nd June and will live streamed and broadcasted on the Disney+ Hotstar and Star Sports Network in India.
