NFF President visits injured Moses Simon in France

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, paid a visit to the injured Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon, on Monday, April 23, 2024.
The FC Nantes star sustained an injury during Nigeria’s international friendly against Mali, where he fractured his fibula following a collision with the Malian goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match.
Moses Simon was in tears as he was stretchered out of the match which eventually ended 2-0 in favor of Mali.
After the March international break, Moses Simon underwent successful surgery in France and is currently undergoing the recovery process.
Unfortunately, the injury has ruled him out of action for the remainder of the season, casting doubt on his availability for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers scheduled for June and the French Ligue 1 where his Nantes team is battling for survival.
Gusau was pictured alongside the recuperating Nigerian winger, a testimony of the Nigeria Football Federation’s commitment towards players’ welfare.
