Man’s Paternity Leave Vlog Leaves Internet—and Mom—’Speechless’

A new mom has been left “speechless” by her husband’s paternity leave vlog, and the internet feels the same.

Lindsay Angioletti was at work when her husband, Matt, recorded a day-in-the-life vlog to surprise her with.

The video, which has received more than 500,000 views on TikTok, shows Matt waving Angioletti off to work before beginning his day by doing chores around the house, such as making the bed and doing laundry.

The New Jersey mom of one wrote in the video’s caption, “I’m still speechless.” She told Newsweek: “I was happy so many people appreciated his productive day as much as I always do.

“He deserves all the recognition, as that video was a true representation of how he supported us during his leave and his efforts helped a lot with my transition back to work.”

In a comment on the video, Angioletti wrote that her husband was “always on top of the house chores!”

The video also shows Matt getting in a quick workout while Madison, the couple’s baby, watches from her play chair. While Madison naps, Matt runs on a treadmill for about an hour, has a shower and does some more tidying up before she wakes.

Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without a FaceTime call from mom to see how the two were getting on. Angioletti is seen waving at the camera, and Madison smiles at her.

After another feeding and bath time, Matt changes Madison into an outfit that says “Daddy’s girl” on the front.

It seems like even the dog receives some pampering, as Matt shows the pup with perfectly groomed fur and a bow.

After a meal of eggs and waffles, Matt opens packages and tries on his new athleisure wear in front of the camera.

Later, Matt unloads the dishwasher, and he and Madison await Angioletti’s return. Upon arrival, she’s welcomed with a hug and kiss from both.

TikTok users were impressed by Matt’s productivity, with one commenting, “I thought the day was finished until he was cooking breakfast!”

Another said, “He does more than I do in a week.”

“On maternity leave now and my 7 week old only gives me short naps so I’m definitely not that productive,” a commenter wrote.

Angioletti seemed to relate, replying: “Omg same! She is 6 months now. It is way easier now!”
