Man dies in house fire in Aberdeen

A man has died in a house fire in Aberdeen.

Police Scotland said emergency services were called to a fire at a property in the city’s Middlefield Crescent about 07:10 on Thursday.

“A 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene,” the force said in a statement.

“A joint investigation is ongoing between police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).”
