Man City vs Leeds Utd (7-0) Dec 14, 2021 Match Preview and Stats

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have won six Premier League matches in a row and will shoot for a seventh when they host Leeds United on Tuesday night.

The Spaniard had bemoaned a squad “emergency” just a couple of weeks ago, but his squad has been more than strong enough to rise to the top of the league.

The Citizens could get a whole lot stronger ahead of Tuesday’s clash as well, with a number of key first-team stars in line to return to the starting line-up.

Ederson will continue in goal, but Kyle Walker will be forced to come in for Joao Cancelo who will serve a suspension. John Stones could come in to partner Ruben Dias at centre-back, while Oleksandr Zinchenko should keep his place at left-back.

The midfield could receive a huge boost with the inclusion of Kevin De Bruyne in the starting XI, with Ilkay Gundogan dropping out after he was substituted in the win over Wolves at the weekend with apparent back pain. Rodri and Bernardo Silva will likely accompany the Belgian in the middle of the pitch.

Phil Foden should also make a return to the starting line-up in place of Jack Grealish, while Riyad Mahrez could displace Gabriel Jesus, meaning Raheem Sterling keeps his place after scoring his 100th Premier League goal in the Wolves win.

City are narrowly leading the title race heading into Christmas, and a seventh win in a row will take them one step closer to sitting atop the tree through the holiday season.
