Man charged with Dundee car park rape of girl, 16

A 31-year-old man has been charged in connection with the rape of a 16-year-old girl in a Dundee car park.

Detectives say the incident happened between 01:00 and 01:30 last Sunday in the Cowgate area of the city.

The suspect is due to appear before Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday.

Det Sgt Shaunni Morris thanked the public for their assistance with the investigation.

She added: “Officers will remain in the area while inquiries continue.”
