Liverpool vs Brighton (2-2) Oct 30, 2021 Match Preview and Stats
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will make widespread changes to his starting XI from the midweek League Cup game against Preston.
In the cup game, unknown youngsters like Harvey Blair and Tyler Morton were given a start as the Reds won 2-0.
But, for Premier League action against Brighton on Saturday, the big guns will obviously return.
Alisson will start in goal, probably behind the tested defence of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson.
However, Ibrahima Konate was given a surprise start against Manchester United last week and impressed, so he will be pushing hard to be included.
Klopp has a number of issues in midfield as Thiago, James Milner and Harvey Elliott will all miss out, while there are fitness concerns over Fabinho and Naby Keita.
Thiago is back in training but probably won’t be match fit before the weekend.
Fabinho and Keita could make it, but it is touch and go.
The full fit trio of Jordan Henderson, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may be preferred.
Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane could start up top.
