The imminent debut of Yellowstone‘s final episodes means it’s almost time to say goodbye to the beloved Western drama after five hit seasons—but fans can continue to keep tabs on the show’s stars through social media.
The Paramount Network show, which was created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, premiered in 2018. It follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the U.S., and their battle to defend their land and lifestyle against constant threats.
While Yellowstone has been a runaway hit, it was abruptly announced in May 2023 that the show would be coming to an end. The announcement followed weeks of reports of creative differences between Costner and Sheridan. One of their disputes was reportedly related to Horizon: An American Saga, a four-part film series directed, produced, and cowritten by Costner, who also stars.
Season 5, Part 1 of Yellowstone aired from November 2022 to January 2023, with the second half of the last season scheduled to debut on November 10, 2024.

It promises to be a dramatic finale, with Season 5, Part 1, showing John Dutton (Costner) become governor of Montana, using his political power to protect the family’s ranch from corporate and environmental threats. However, tensions within the family reached a boiling point when Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) made a bold move by publicly calling for his father’s impeachment.
Meanwhile, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) uncovered Jamie’s scheme and began plotting her own brutal counterstrike. Armed with knowledge of Jamie’s role in the murder of his biological father, Garrett Randall (Will Patton), Beth hinted at using this information to destroy her brother. At the same time, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) wrestled with personal struggles away from the ranch.
With the drama likely coming to an end on a memorable note, fans will likely be reluctant to say goodbye to their favorite characters. However, the next best thing is keeping up with the stars who portray them.
