Joe Burrow Reveals Biggest Key To Bengals Success In 2024
The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off a season that saw them finish the year with a record of 9-8, barely missing out on the postseason. Cincinnati dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season but none bigger than what ailed star quarterback Joe Burrow. Burrow dealt with different injuries throughout the year that hindered him even when he was on the field.

He suffered a torn ligament in his wrist following a matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11, ending his season early.
Cincinnati continued to battle but without Burrow, it was tough sledding. With him having time to rehab, Burrow is on track to start the new year. With him back in the fold, the Bengals are looking to get back to being one of the better teams in the AFC. The key for Cincinnati will be to keep Burrow healthy and on the field this year.
Burrow revealed what his biggest goal is for the upcoming season. He held an interview with Complex Sports to discuss the 2024 season.
“Well, number one, I want to be on the field for all the games,” he recently told Complex Sports. “I know I’m going to play well when I’m out there. I’m at that point in my career where I’ve seen enough to know myself that I can go out there and play as well as anybody in the game. The biggest strides this year are going to be my body and learning how to get through the season, get through practices with my body, and feeling in tip-top shape. And so that’s the main focus for the offseason.”
Before his season-ending injury, Burrow threw for 2,309 yards with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions over 10 games. His staying on the field will be the biggest priority for the Bengals as Cincinnati has a shot to win whenever he’s available. In the two seasons that Burrow has been able to stay healthy, he has led the team to the Super Bowl and AFC Championship game.
The AFC is absolutely loaded this season but the Bengals have the look of a contender. Wide receiver Tee Higgins is back in the fold, alongside star Ja’Marr Chase, giving the Bengals the top receiving duo in the NFL. Only time will tell how the season turns out. Burrow learning how to manage any issues that come up is key to how the year will turn out for the Bengals.
