IPL 2024 | Twitter reacts to Kulcha classic as Chahal drops sitter on Kuldeep’s wayward strokeplay
1707
The sporting fraternity has witnessed some great pairs over the years the cricket world is no different. Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav fall in the same category and were indulged in a comical moment albeit on opposing sides when RR squared off against DC at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.
Despite losing the toss, Delhi Capitals got off to a rollicking start, courtesy of Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel’s fifties that set up for a 200-plus total. Although Ravichandran Ashwin’s three-fer produced several setbacks, a late flurry from the lower middle order helped them reach 221/8. However, an incident that left the audience in splits revolved around the Indian pair of Yuvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in the final over.
On the fifth ball of the 20th over, Sandeep Sharma dished a low full-toss outside the off stump and Kuldeep tried to reverse sweep. He ended up flipping the bat and the ball rebounded off the stem of the bat towards short third. Chahal stationed inside the 30-yard circle tried to dive forward but failed to get the fingers underneath the ball. The wrist-spinner not only failed to take the catch but also ended up letting the ball travel behind him, thereby proving to be a comical incident for the Twitterverse.

Would be miserable
Imagine scoring 222 and having Chahal, Boult, Avesh in your lineup and the chasing team still in the game after 16 overs, that would be miserable. This team is made to chase things
