Hearts Melt at Difference in Husband Before and After He Sees His Wife
A couple from the Philippines have charmed social-media users after a clip of the husband before and after seeing his wife in public went viral.
The video, shared on TikTok in April under the username @eloisa.creates, comes with a caption that reads: “My husband before vs after he sees me in public.” The footage shows the man’s expression before seeing his wife, looking serious and unamused.
The second half of the clip features him completely changing expression after spotting his wife in public; he is smiling and hopping, hardly able to contain his happiness at seeing her.
It is scientifically proven that being around the people you love comes with lots of health benefits, both physical and mental.
Healthline, a medical network of over 150 healthcare professionals, says that even just thinking about your loved one can trigger dopamine release, which gives you the excitement and motivation to do whatever it takes to see them. Then, once you do actually see them, your brain will reward you with more dopamine, which translates into intense pleasure.
Among all the other benefits, being around your loved ones can also lower your levels of stress. In fact, the oxytocin and dopamine hormones produced when you are around them may lower levels of cortisol, also known as the stress hormone.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received almost 40 million views and more than 6.6 million likes on the platform.
One user, got2b, commented: “If my hubby doesn’t respond like this when he sees me, I don’t want him.” And MariMari posted: “He went from Doberman to Golden Retriever energy.”
Mommajer wrote: “The transformation is heartwarming. Mine is a pit bull and after seeing me he turns to a Rottweiler. I’m screwed for life.”
Teena Martin | Artist added: “From bombastic side eye to tail wagging 109 miles an hour. Most adorable thing ever.”
Another user, Abby, commented: “The side eye when he thought you were a stranger behind him.” And Ocean90 wrote: “That’s a man who genuinely likes his wife. It’s sad it’s not that common…”
Uthman posted: “It’s so sad we live in a [world] where most of us will never experience love this genuine.”
