Gwen Stefani Returns to Ranch Life With Blake Shelton After “Crazy” Coachella Performances
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
Ranch life is back in full swing for Gwen Stefani after she returned home from her Coachella performance with No Doubt.
The singer reunited with her husband Blake Shelton on their Oklahoma ranch and took to Instagram on April 22 to give fans another peak at how they plant flowers–this time dahlias.
“Just wanted to say, first of all, thank you Coachella, that was crazy. Um, check!? No Doubt at Coachella,” the 54-year-old singer said on her Instagram story, drawing an imaginary check mark in the air.
She continued, switching gears to gardening: “I’m out here gardening guys, I just planted, with the Sheltonator, we just planted a bunch of dahlias, so stay tuned, it’s going to be epic and it’s going to be the Coachella of gardening.” The No Doubt front woman followed up her message with a time lapse of her and Shelton, 47, planting the flowers into raised garden beds behind their home.
Back at Coachella, Stefani delivered an electrifying performance with No Doubt, who played live for the first time in 9 years, thrilling fans with their classic hits and unmistakable energy. The festival’s second weekend was particularly special as her youngest son, Apollo, joined by stepfather Blake Shelton, supported her from the audience. In a heartwarming scene captured by fans, Apollo was seen excitedly running up to his step dad for a big hug.
The presence of family was a huge boost for Stefani, who later commemorated the occasion with a montage of her Coachella experience on Instagram. The post quickly filled with comments from enthusiastic fans, many of whom urged Stefani and No Doubt to consider a tour given the overwhelming positive reception to their performances.
“This is the part where you announce the tour” urged one Instagram user. “North America tour when???? I’ve been waiting 15 years!!” commented another. Stefani has yet to comment on whether or not her and the band will start touring together.
