Golden Eaglets camp opens today in Abuja
In preparation for the upcoming U17 WAFU B championship, Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will begin training today in Abuja, as announced by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Following the appointment of Manu Garba as the team’s coach, succeeding Nduka Ugbade, the Golden Eaglets are gearing up to defend their title in the tournament.
Having clinched the WAFU B championship last year, the Golden Eaglets are determined to showcase their prowess once again, aiming to secure a spot in the U-17 World Cup.
Under the guidance of Coach Manu Garba, the team has begun intensive training sessions, with a squad of 51 players summoned to the camp in Abuja.
The selection process will eventually trim down the squad to the required number for the competition scheduled to take place in mid-May in Ghana.
