Ferrari To Reveal All-Blue Livery For Huge Milestone Alongside New Race Suits and Merchandise

In an homage to their illustrious history in the U.S., Ferrari has unveiled a stunning collection of Miami GP-themed race suits and merchandise. Set against the backdrop of the Miami Grand Prix, this lineup not only includes retro attire but also commemorates Ferrari’s 70-year legacy in America with a unique livery change.

The Maranello-based squad has shared the race suits and merchandise to social media, posting:

The Scuderia Ferrari team has taken a dive into its storied archives to roll out an unprecedented race-day look for the Miami Grand Prix. In recognition of their 70 years of market presence in the United States, the team has introduced a dramatic shift in their car’s color scheme: transitioning from their traditional scarlet red to a striking blue. This temporary livery, featuring shades named Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino, has significant historical roots within the team’s racing heritage.

Azzurro La Plata, a lighter hue of blue, was once sported by Alberto Ascari in his racing gear. It became a prominent color during Niki Lauda’s first season with Ferrari in the 1960s. Meanwhile, Azzurro Dino, a deeper blue, graced the Ferrari driven by Clay Regazzoni during the 1974 season before the team reverted largely to its iconic red. This historical palette has inspired the aesthetics of the current race suits and team merchandise — a meticulous blend of past and present.

The Miami GP provides a fitting stage for unveiling this exclusive collection. Both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will don all-blue race suits, embodying the spirit of the past champions who once wore these colors. Accompanying this gear will be retro-style shirts, which fans have already been going crazy for on social media.

One fan commented, “The jacket, the shoes, the shirt EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD.”

The release of the race suits has ramped up excitement for the new livery, which is likely to be unveiled in the build-up to the Miami Grand Prix next week.

Besides the aesthetic transformation of their apparel, off-track celebrations are poised to amplify the grandeur, marked by events such as the prestigious Cavalcade International. Enthusiasts and participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves fully in the heritage and the contemporary allure of Ferrari.

This striking change in livery and team attire is confirmed as a one-off spectacle. Post-Miami Grand Prix, Ferrari plans to revert to its traditional red for the upcoming race in Imola, ensuring that the essence of its legacy continues unabated.
