Enterprise bus substitution planned due to rail works
A bus substitution service will be in operation for Enterprise rail passengers this weekend due to engineering works between Dundalk and Dublin Connolly, Translink has said.
The works mean that passengers using the cross-border service on Saturday, Sunday and Monday will travel by train from Belfast’s Grand Central Station to Dundalk.
A bus substitution will then be in place to complete the journey to Dublin.
For passengers travelling north, a bus will operate from Dublin Connolly to Drogheda and Dundalk where they can continue by train.
Translink added that a new hourly Enterprise service between Belfast and Dublin will begin on Tuesday 29 October.
These included new early morning services leaving Belfast at 06:00 and Dublin at 06:50.
A total of 15 services will operate in both directions from Monday to Saturday, and 14 will run on Sunday.
Passengers travelling this weekend have been advised to allow extra time for their journey.
