Emery’s men fresh off another Euro triumph



Aston Villa return to Premier League duties this weekend with a home clash against Bournemouth.

Unai Emery’s men turned in yet another winning performance in the Champions League midweek, taking their run to three victories out of three in their maiden season in the competition.

Villa are on an impressive run of 10 games without defeat since the loss against Arsenal.

In that run they have won four and drawn two in the Premier League, with the victories coming versus Leicester, Everton, Wolves and Fulham.

In the Champions League, they have beat Young Boys, Bologna and, most notably, German giants Bayern Munich.

Earlier in the campaign, Emery’s squad were ravaged by injuries but things are looking much healthier now as John McGinn and Boubacar Kamara recently returned from injury, while Tyrone Mings will appear soon after recovering from a serious ACL rupture.

Bournemouth are coming off their biggest win of the season as last weekend they emerged 2-0 victors over 10-man Arsenal, with Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert scoring the goals.

Their overall form has been mixed as from their last five Premier League games they have won two against Arsenal and Southampton and lost three versus Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester.

Bournemouth have a healthy squad at the moment as the only minor concern is Tyler Adams, who continues to struggle with a back issue.
