Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Reveals 3 New Things to Lookout for in Moana 2: “You Will Feel the Mana’
Dwayne Johnson went on a wrestling hiatus again, following his final appearance on Monday Night Raw after Mania. And who could blame him? The WWE icon has his hands in many pies including several successful businesses and a flourishing Hollywood career. One of the big upcoming ones on his Hollywood schedule is the sequel to the hit Disney animated Polynesian adventure.
Fans will see The Rock reprise his role as Maui in the upcoming Moana 2. The movie is now slated to take viewers on another adventure across the Pacific Ocean on November 27th. With a release date in hand, Maui shared three cool features that fans should look out for in the film.
Dwayne Johnson promises unique Moana 2 experience by blending culture and storytelling

Several weeks ago, Disney uploaded a concept trailer to tease Moana 2. At Cinemacon, Disney announced the upcoming animated project where fans saw Dwayne Johnson perform a tradtional Polynesian dance. During the same event, DJ confessed what Moana means to him on a personal level and he has done it again on Instagram recently. The Brahma Bull uploaded pictures of himself in the studio, recording lines for his character. In the caption, he said, “The Polynesian cultural significance of the role and our story has touched families around the world and has easily become one of my truest honors to bring to life and share.”

After this, Johnson surprised the fans by saying, “New characters, new journeys, new music. Excited for you and your families around the world to join us on this journey.” He further added, “You will feel the mana.”
Thanks to this caption, we are officially aware that the new film will feature some fresh faces as we venture forward on a new journey with soulful new music accompanying it. There’s another trivia that The Rock revealed in the caption.
The Hollywood star indirectly pays homage to his grandfather

Not only is the movie project personal for DJ because of his Samoan background but the character that he voices in the film is also based on one of his family members. The studio likely earmarked and highlighted an inspiration for the character of Maui who filled the physical characteristics of a demigod-like physique. According to “Final Boss” Maui is based on his maternal grandfather.In the caption of his most recent Instagram post, Johnson revealed, “So much fun becoming MAUI again – a character that changed my life in many ways – including the character of MAUI being inspired by my late grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia.”
