Crunch time for Tommy ‘Gun’ Collins
By Paul Webb
IT’S TITLE shot time for Tommy ‘Gun’ Collins (10-0), who will face Sajid Abid (14-2) for the vacant Midlands Area super-lightweight belt on Friday, December 20th, at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on BCB Promotions’ ‘Winter War’.
The unbeaten 26-year-old from Birmingham has made a near flawless start to his professional career but faces a big step up in Derby’s Abid, who has challenged for the English title and gone 10 rounds three times in his 10-year career.
The final BCB show of 2024 will also feature Queensberry Promotions signing Ben Collins (2-1) in his first fight since a surprise loss against Patryk Polasik in July. The 20-year-old light-heavyweight from Stourbridge has been back training hard and is ready to get back to winning ways.
Another light-heavyweight looking to impress is unbeaten Levi Vaughan (2-0). The 26-year-old southpaw showed his power last time out, dropping Genadij Krajevskij en route to a shutout points win and will be looking to end his debut year in style.
