Concern grows for mother and baby missing in Luton

Police say they are “deeply concerned” for the welfare of a mother and her three-month-old baby who have not been seen for almost two weeks.

Anka, 29, and her baby were captured on CCTV leaving a hotel in Luton, Bedfordshire, on Thursday, 17 October.

Det Sgt Ben Searle has called on the public to help them locate the pair.

“It’s imperative that Anka knows she is not in any trouble,” he said. “But we would urge anyone that knows anything about their whereabouts to please come forward.”

Anka was last seen wearing a black zip-up top, jeans and black trainers. She was carrying a red and green bag.

The CCTV pictures show her walking out of a Travelodge on Dunstable Road in the town. Officers later received reports of a sighting in Wellington Street.

Det Sgt Searle added: “If you have seen Anka or have any information that may help our investigation, no matter how small, then please contact us so we can bring them home safely.”

Bedfordshire Police can be contacted by phone on 101 or online.
