Chelsea Player Ratings vs West Ham: Premier League
Chelsea cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium, showing dominance in every square foot of the pitch. The Blues struck early and never looked back, while West Ham struggled to find any momentum throughout the game.
With Chelsea’s forwards running riot and West Ham’s defence looking fragile, the contest was fairly one-sided from start to finish.
The win marks a key result for Chelsea, as they look to build on their sporadic early season form, while West Ham will need to regroup after a disappointing outing.
Chelsea Player Ratings
Chelsea were in control from the first whistle, with several standout performances across the pitch. In defence, Levi Colwill and Marc Cucurella were solid, while Moisés Caicedo dominated the midfield with his excellent ball-winning ability.
Up front, Nicolas Jackson was the star, bagging two goals and terrorising the West Ham defence throughout.
Though Chelsea did face some moments of pressure, their collective discipline, particularly in defence, ensured that Robert Sánchez had little to worry about.
West Ham’s efforts to break through were largely ineffective, and Chelsea’s control in possession further cemented their superiority.
Here are the player ratings for Chelsea:
West Ham never quite got into the game, with several players putting in subpar performances. Their defence looked shaky from the start, and the midfield failed to match Chelsea’s intensity.
Kilman and Aaron Wan-Bissaka struggled to contain the Blues going forward, while Bowen and Paquetá could not influence the game going forward themselves.
West Ham’s passing was sloppy, and they lacked any real threat in the final third. Despite a few individual efforts, particularly from K. Mohammed, the Hammers were second-best in every aspect of the game.
Here are the player ratings for West Ham:
Best Player of the Match – Nicolas Jackson
Nicolas Jackson was the standout performer, scoring two well-taken goals and leading the Chelsea line with real authority. His pace and movement caused problems for West Ham’s defence throughout the game, and he took his chances clinically, ensuring the South West London side’s dominance.
Worst Player on the Pitch – Crysencio Summerville
Crysencio Summerville struggled to make an impact in this game, often losing possession and failing to track back when required. His overall performance left West Ham exposed down the left, and he was substituted after failing to contribute in attack or defence.
