Cane Corso Wakes Up Owner Just to Snitch on Doggy Sibling

Dogs living together often exhibit behaviors as if they are human siblings, such as playing, sharing toys or fighting. And thanks to a recent TikTok video, people are seeing that dogs can snitch on their siblings too.

Dog owner Paige, who is known on TikTok as @iluznpaige, was asleep in bed when her cane corso, Dougie, jumped up on her. He needed her to wake up instantly because chaos was unfolding downstairs and he wouldn’t budge until she got up.

Paige hopped out of bed and went downstairs. Dougie looked on from the top of the stairs. He knew what was going on and didn’t need to get involved any further. She had a feeling about what she was going to discover.

“This is common,” she told Newsweek via TikTok. “I knew she had stolen some food or ripped up a cushion or something. Normally, it’s an empty packet she’s taken from the bin.”

But as she turned the corner, her other dog was nose-deep in a box of cookies, with her tail wagging. The dog quickly stepped away, trying to act innocent. However, she was caught red-handed, all thanks to her doggy sibling snitching on her.

This wasn’t the first time, and it certainly won’t be the last. Paige didn’t mind that Dougie woke her up, especially since it helped her prevent the other dog from eating cookies.

“He’s such a good boy, bless him,” she said.

Viewers couldn’t get enough of the hilarious TikTok video. As of Friday, it had reached over 270,000 views, 21,000 likes and 119 comments.

“That is the sweetest thing. He’s watching over the house while you sleep, adorable,” said one user.

A second added: “The fact you knew straight away he was snitching.”

Another shared a similar experience: “Once my dog learned what our cat was not supposed to do…we never had to yell at our cat ever again, we unknowingly adopted a police officer.”

And for those worried about the dog getting into the cookies, the owner assured them that she has a “stomach of steel” and was completely fine. There were only two cookies in the box. When she got downstairs, there was one left in the box and the other in the dog’s mouth. Luckily, she didn’t consume any chocolate.
