Congressman Byron Donalds was corrected live on-air after making a claim about the state of the U.S. economy.
During an interview on CNN with journalist Abby Phillip, the Florida Republican claimed that economic policies were “without question” better under Donald Trump than under President Joe Biden.
In response, Phillip said: “I’m going to interrupt you on the facts. Congressmen, the Black unemployment rate was the lowest in American history under Joe Biden just last year. The poverty rate for Black people is the lowest under Joe Biden.”
