Brighton vs Wolves Predicted Lineups: Starting XIs Premier L

This Premier League fixture between Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers is set to be an intriguing clash as both sides look to build momentum.

Brighton, currently flying high in fifth place, have their eyes on a potential Champions League spot, while Wolves, languishing in the relegation zone, are desperate to end a torrid run of form.

With both teams struggling with injuries, particularly in attack, the lineups for this game could see some significant changes.

Brighton Predicted Lineup

Brighton will likely see some rotation up front due to Danny Welbeck’s injury sustained in their last victory against Newcastle. Although Welbeck has confirmed his injury isn’t as severe as first feared, he is unlikely to start.

Manager Fabian Hurzeler may turn to Evan Ferguson to lead the line, supported by Kaoru Mitoma, who could step in on the left wing. Solly March’s absence also forces some creativity in attack, which could mean opportunities for young talents like Simon Adingra or Yasin Ayari.

The midfield pairing of Carlos Baleba and Jack Hinshelwood is expected to remain intact, providing defensive stability behind the attacking trio. In defence, captain Lewis Dunk will continue to anchor the backline alongside Igor Julio, with Joël Veltman and Ferdi Kadioglu operating as full-backs. Goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen will be trusted between the sticks.

Wolves Predicted Lineup

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been facing their own injury woes, particularly in attack, with Hwang Hee-chan ruled out and Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez also sidelined.

This could see Wolves manager Gary O’Neil deploy Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen as the main attacking threats, with Cunha operating in a more creative role.

In midfield, Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes are expected to form a solid pairing, providing a balance between defence and attack. Wolves will likely stick with a three-man defence featuring Craig Dawson and Toti, with Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nelson Semedo pushing forward from the wing-back positions.

Despite recent form, Jose Sa is expected to retain his place as the first-choice goalkeeper.
