Bowen’s reputation continues to grow

It’s only a matter of time before Bowen makes his move to the Premier League and he once again showed his prowess, dragging Hull from two goals down to a 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough. His first was a superb strike arrowed into the corner from range, and he showed a striker’s instinct to crash home following a loose ball to earn the draw.

Shea was unlucky to be on the losing side against Leeds after producing a series of superb saves in the first half but ultimately losing 2-1. He made an inspired close-range double block before clawing another to safety as part of a total of 11 saves and he can be pleased with his overall performance despite Patrick Bamford ultimately getting the better of him.

Kamara’s all-action performance helped to turn a one-goal deficit into a 2-1 win in a local derby against QPR. His first was an excellent close-range header to get his side back on level terms, before taking Tom Cairney’s pass to keep his composure and slot home the winning goal. Boss Scott Parker had plenty of positive things to say about his forward’s application afterwards.

Dack continues to be Blackburn’s standout attacking player and against Barnsley he tapped home the opening goal and with his side level at 2-2 he showed skill to leap into the air and scissor home the winner from close range. Dack’s runs beyond the forwards have been a constant threat for his side this season.

Kamara made the difference for Fulham at the other end but Rodak’s display meant his side stayed just ahead of QPR. The shot-stopper made a total of seven saves and offered a calming influence as QPR can feel hard done by that they didn’t manage to get past the keeper for a second time in the contest.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Shaun Hutchison’s (8.1) staunch defensive performance earned Millwall a 1-0 away win at Swansea.

ROUND TO FORGET

Goalkeepers. QPR’s Joe Lumley (5.1) misplaced a pass which led to Fulham’s winner, while Sheffield Wednesday’s Kieren Westwood (5.1) gave away a silly penalty that did his side v West Brom.
