Bordeaux vs PSG (2-3) Nov 6, 2021 Match Preview and Stats
The last few games haven’t made for easy watching for Paris Saint-Germain fans.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men were denied a win against RB Leipzig in midweek by a stoppage time penalty, left it very late to beat defending French champions Lille in a match last weekend in a far from pretty fashion, and drew a blank with Marseille in the game before that.
They do however still sit eight points clear at the top and in Bordeaux, they face a team which has conceded the third-most goals in Ligue 1, so it should be a chance for PSG to show off some of their firepower, even if they are still missing some key stars.
In defence, Prisnel Kimpembe is definitely out and Sergio Ramos is still doubtful to make his first PSG start.
Georginio Wijnaldum scored a double in Leipzig in midweek so should start in midfield but Leandro Paredes and Marco Verratti are both out until after the next international break.
Up front, hamstring and knee discomfort kept Lionel Messi out of the Champions League match and it’s uncertain whether they will risk him at the weekend in a game they’d expect to win, even if they are away from home.
