Boniface, Tella Battle Lookman For Europa League Crown
Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta will clash in the final of the UEFA Europa League at the AVIVA Stadium on Wednesday night (today).
Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen have two Nigerians, Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella in their ranks, while Ademola Lookman is a key figure for Atalanta.
Boniface, who was sidelined for around three months this season has scored five goals in the competition for Leverkusen this season.
The powerful forward was joint -top scorer in the Europa League with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford last season.

His compatriot Tella has also played a key role in Die Werkself’s march to the final of Europe’s second tier club competition.
Bayer Leverkusen are unbeaten in 51 games across all competitions this season and will look to add the Europa League title to their Bundesliga crown.
Xabi Alonso’s side will also face Kaiserslautern in the final of the DFB Pokal.
For Lookman and his Atalanta teammates, they will be keen to avoid another heart break after losing 1-0 to Juventus in the final of the Coppa Italia last week.
Lookman registered a goal and an assist in La Dea’s semi-final victory over Olympic Marseille.
