Biden Raises Kamala Harris’ Hand in Show of Unity as Donors, Voters Revolt
President Joe Biden raised Vice President Kamala Harris’ hand on the Truman Balcony of the White House in a show of unity during Thursday night’s Independence Day fireworks display.
The Fourth of July event occurred as donors and voters continue to revolt from the Biden campaign following the president’s debate performance against former President Donald Trump last week.
Currently, some polls are showing that 80 percent of voters, including 75 percent of Democratic voters, think the 81-year-old Biden is too old to run for a second term.
Prominent Democrats have called on Biden to step aside or have expressed concerns about his ability to run.
Harris is widely seen as the being in the best position to defeat Trump in November’s election among potential Democratic nominees.
In addition, a number of big-money donors, including Reddit’s co-founder and Disney’s Heiress said they wouldn’t donate to the Biden campaign unless he is replaced.
This is a developing news story and will be updated with more information.
