Anthony Anderson Mocks Trump’s VP Pick: ‘Like Eric and Don Jr. Had a Baby’
Anthony Anderson poked fun at Donald Trump’s pick for Vice President on Monday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The actor guest-hosted for the comedian, who is on vacation and will return in September. After briefly touching on the assassination attempt of Trump on Saturday, expressing his condolences to the family of those killed or injured in the attack, the Beats star poked fun at the Republican politician for his choice of running mate.
“JD Vance has everything that Trump is looking for in a running mate,” the comedian told the audience. “He’s White, he’s…well, that’s pretty much it.”
“He also looks like Eric and Don Jr. had a baby,” Anderson continued, showing photos of Donald Trump’s two oldest sons alongside Vance for comparison.
Newsweek has reached out to JD Vance for comment via contact form.
Trump announced Vance as his pick for Vice President on Monday via Truth Social, the social network he founded in 2022 after being banned from Twitter (now known as X).
The business mogul said he’d chosen the venture-capitalist after “lengthy deliberation and thought,” after considering the “tremendous talents of many others.”
