Ange’s men look to maintain 100% record

Tottenham will look to make it three wins out of three in the Europa League when they face AZ on Thursday evening.

Despite Ange Postecoglou making a raft of changes for both matches against Qarabag and Ferencvaros, Spurs won their European fixtures 3-0 and 2-1.

Match Preview

Tottenham Recent Form

In the Premier League, Spurs have lost three and won three from their last six.

They lost against Newcastle, Arsenal and Brighton and emerged victorious versus Brentford, Man Utd and West Ham.

They’ve won three of their last four and beat the Hammers 4-1 this past weekend.

Tottenham Injury News

Wilson Odobert and Djed Spence are injured here, though Radu Dragusin is available after suspension.

Postecoglou made plenty of changes in the two previous Europa League games so expect the likes of Timo Werner, Pape Matar Sarr, Lucas Bergvall, Mikey Moore, Archie Gray and Ben Davies to be given starts.

Tottenham – Player To Watch

With a lot of changes expected, it is likely that Timo Werner will be given another opportunity to impress. So far this season, he has not taken advantage of those opportunities, with zero goals and just one assist to his name.

AZ – Player To Watch

This is a big night for Troy Parrot as AZ’s top goalscorer this campaign returns to the club where he spent seven years as a youngster.

He has six goals to his name this season.

Tottenham vs AZ – Prediction

Should Postecoglou make a plethora of changes, he’ll find this one a bit more difficult as AZ are a better team than Qarabag and Ferencvaros. However, the visitors are low on confidence due to their poor form so Spurs should still have enough to win.
