NPFL: Fans Trouble Halt Rangers Vs Enyimba, Remo Stars Lose To Lobi Stars
The oriental derby clash between Rangers and Enyimba was halted after fans invaded the pitch and disrupted the game.
The incident occurred deep into stoppage time after the centre referee awarded a penalty to Rangers.
Enyimba players protested the decision and walked out of the pitch.
Elsewhere,Remo Stars stumbled in their title bid after going down to a 3-2 defeat at Lobi Stars.
Christian Izuchukwu gave the home team the lead in the sixth minute, while Chinedu Chukwu added the second seven minutes before the break.
The hosts reduced the lead through Sikiru Alimi two minutes before the break.
Stanley Oganbor restored Lobi Stars’ lead five minutes before regulation time.
Chukwu scored an own goal two minutes from time to ensure a nervy end to the game.

Captain Nyima Nwagua scored the decisive goal in the 51st minute as former champions Rivers United defeated Shooting Stars 1-0 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
In Umuahia, Abia Warriors and Bendel Insurance battled to a 0-0 draw in a keenly contested encounter.
At the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa, Bayelsa United held Sporting Lagos to a 2-2 draw.
Jonathan Alukwu scored twice for Sporting Lagos in the first half.
