Reason Mom Stays Awake Until 5:30 a.m. When Adult Kids Visit Melts Hearts

Nothing shows you are an “adult” like childhood nostalgia—and one set of siblings was determined to recreate some special memories for their mom.

A video on TikTok posted by Ana (@anacf93) went viral for a mother’s response to a surprise from her adult children: an impromptu sleepover. In the video, the siblings’ mother stays up until 5:30 a.m. because she didn’t want to miss out on a single moment of the special gathering. Since the video was posted, it has received over 615,000 likes and more than 400 comments.

The video shows Ana and her siblings walking up to their parents’ front door to surprise them by spending the night. A cut in the video reveals the family asleep together in the living room—all except the mother, who sat wrapped in a blanket smiling at the video camera.

In the comments, Ana said that her mother texted the siblings as soon as they left to tell them “how much it meant to her.”

Viewers in the comments gushed at the love evident in the video—especially the fact that the family decided to sleep in the same room to honor the special occasion. Some reflected on what it might have meant to Ana’s mother to have her children under the same roof again.
