West Ham United Player Receives 5 Match Ban in the English Premier League
West Ham United attacker, Mohammed Kudus, received a three-match ban following his actions against Tottenham Spurs. The ban got extended for two more games, resulting in him missing three games in the English Premier League.
Mohammed Kudus, the Ghana international player for West Ham United, has received a ban for two more games by the English Football Association due to the added charges of violent conduct. This has further increased his initial three-match ban in the English Premier League to five games.
In the match against Tottenham Spurs, which took place on 19 October, Mohammed Kudus received a red card during the game. This came after he landed his hands on two opponent players, Pape Matar Sarr and Micky van de Ven.
VAR checked out the incident and Mohammed Kudus turned out to be guilty of the same. Due to this reason, he automatically received a three-match ban from the tournament. He has already missed the games against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest. Along with that, he also won’t be playing the upcoming match against Everton for the completion of this three-match ban.
Following this, an independent Regulatory Commission also took up a look at Kudus’ actions, which further resulted in his ban being extended to two more games. Therefore, he won’t be playing the upcoming two matches against Newcastle United and Arsenal.
